Most delivery couriers in Tbilisi currently ride electric mopeds without a driving license. EV8 wants everyone without a license to get an AM category license instead of riding gas or electric mopeds unlicensed. Regardless, the law will soon change to ban riding electric mopeds without a driving license.
Why the AM Category
Covers mopeds and light quadricycles. Theory exam only — 20 questions, 18 correct answers required. Age — from 16. The exam is held in Georgian, Russian, English, and many other languages. You’ll need: a national ID, a health certificate (Form IV-100/a), a birth certificate or a notarized copy; for minors — parental consent.

How to Get It, Step by Step
- Gather your documents: national ID, health certificate, birth certificate (or a certified copy).
- Study the questions using the links above.
- Take the theory exam at the agency — no advance booking required.
- Pay the fee: 15 GEL for the first attempt, 40 GEL for a retake.
- Your license is ready in 5 business days — or pay for expedited issuance: 50 GEL (1 business day) or 40 GEL (2 business days).
